Does the President Care About Technology?: "Critics charge that President George W. Bush is simply an oil-and-gas man who is ambivalent, at best, about technology. He didn't campaign on it, he hasn't paid attention to it and he'll continue to leave it alone, they say, pointing out that it took him nearly six months to nominate his first formal science and technology adviser. The appointment of John Marburger as head of the Office of Science and Technology Policy was not made until this month. And many other key people still are not in place. Without a senior cheerleader like former Vice President Al Gore, who lovingly shepherded technology issues for President Bill Clinton, they argue, technology policy will languish and the economy will suffer."

Forecasting the candidates' chances in campaign 2004=The Hill.com=: "Now Gore, on the other hand, does want Bush to lose and wants to be president himself, and hes going to come under enormous pressure over the next couple of weeks to run because the Democrats are going to look at the opportunities that Bush is presenting and look at the Dean candidacy and theyre going to begin to really flip out. Theyre all going to be pressuring Gore to come in to run. But Gore is such a ponderous guy. Its like watching a battleship make a U-turn; it takes a long time. By now, hes probably even talked himself into the idea that he likes private life. "

IIS reports a Error 270 on an otherwise blank page
Let's get started!
