Today is Primary Election Day in Pennsylvania
Today is Election Day in McSherrystown and all of Pennsylvania.
Don't forget to vote!

Don't know where to vote? The best indicator is to look at your voter identification card, as it lists which district you are in.
Call the districts above if you are not sure if you are on their lists, as the descriptions below are my own and are subject to change.
If you live north of Ridge Ave/Oak Lane ("Sherry Village") and have a McSherrystown ZIP Code, you may have a Conewago Township Polling Place, as you do not live in McSherrystown Borough.
McSherrystown 1 is generally from plum creek east to Fourth Street, from Oak Lane and Fairview Ave. to St. Joseph's Lane and South Street. "West of Fourth Street"
McSherrystown 2 is bordered on the west by Fourth Street and on the east by Oxford Ave (3rd Street from Hanover), on the North by Ridge Ave (North 5th, 6th Streets included) and south to Cricket Lane. "East of Fourth Street"
Polls are open from 7:00AM to 8:00PM.
Offices open for PARTY NOMINATION (Republican/Democratic) today are:

State Superior Court
County Commissioner
Register and Recorder
Prothonotary
Auditor
McSherrystown Borough Council Member, Four Year Term
McSherrystown Borough Council Member, Two Year Term
(This list may not be exhaustive)
New Residents: Pennsylvania's primary is a closed major-party system. Only registered Republicans may vote in the Republican primary and registered Democrats in the Democratic primary. Registration closes 30 days before an election.
Independents and third party voters MAY, however, vote on any ballot measures/initiatives.
Independents and third party candidates are now circulating ballots to gain direct access to the November ballot.

Evening Sun - Registration starts for Summer Fun
Evening Sun - Registration starts for Summer Fun: "Registration has begun for the annual McSherrystown Summer Fun program for boys and girls ages 6 through 14"
Activities offered include supervised basketball, softball, board games and arts and crafts. The program is held at the South Street Recreation Park.
The Summer Fun program begins Monday, June 18, and concludes Friday, Aug. 10. The program runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be no program offered during the week of the July 4 holiday.
The registration fee for McSherrystown and Conewago Township residents is $10 for the entire summer program. The fee for children from other areas is $20. Registration is at the borough office on Main Street in McSherrystown during regular business hours.
